We learned on the shortcuts. Then we built the fix.

Will and Harry, the two mates behind Turfin Time, learned the trade the long way: years on the tools, seeing how lawns are commonly built across the industry, and more importantly, how they age.

The pattern was clear. Shallow bases, light compaction and skipped infill are surprisingly common, even at premium prices, and they show up months later as dips, weeds, heat and odour. So we made the fixes standard. The details many more expensive companies still treat as optional extras come included on every Turfin Time job.

• A substantial layered foundation: Approximately 7 cm of road base topped with approximately 3 cm of screeded crusher dust. Each layer is machine compacted individually to create long-term stability, rather than relying on the thin single layer many installers use.
• Premium infill as standard: Kiln-dried sand is installed to support the turf fibres and improve long-term performance. Where required for pet and play areas, ZeoFill can be added to help reduce odours and surface heat, a step that’s often left out, even on expensive quotes.
• Attention to the details that matter: You may never see them during installation, but you’ll appreciate them years later, when your lawn is still sitting level, stable and looking its best.
